Plagiarism can be defined as a piece of writing that has been copied from someone else and is presented as being your own work (Princeton). Plagiarism has been defined as the “use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author and the representation of them as one’s own original work (Wikipedia). Plagiarism is considered as a serious offence in academics and students are often punished with “F” grade or low marks. In case of repeated plagiarism, the student may be suspended or expelled from the institute / college / university. It is unethical to copy someone else’s work and use it in your name. Plagiarism is something different than copyright infringement.
Yes, the definition is something different than what I perceived before completing the reading and research. I was not aware of the seriousness of plagiarism and taking away or snatching someone else’s credit of work. Earlier, I used to think that is was perfectly fine to copy paste and use it as my own piece of work but after reading the articles, I feel a bit guilty and will take precautions in future. I will mention the sources wherever possible to give credit to the original writer.
I felt good after reading this article “The Term Paper Artist”. Writing can also be a profession and a good hobby. Writers are equally valuable and respect should be provided to them as they have far superior knowledge than an ordinary person. Writing is an art and no-dumb man’s work. It is a passion of a person which motivates him to write and write good term papers or any other kind of article. One should not laugh on anyone without knowing the full value and responsibility the person has to fulfil. Writing by far is superior originality. It is a valuable gift of god and blessed are thos who can write good knowledgeable articles. “Term paper artist” throws light on one such character who is proud of what is does and his contribution to the society of illerates who do not understand the value of his precious skills.
