The Style that Resonates to Me as a Future Leader

As a future leader, I support the democratic style of leadership, where the leader initiates the employees into making a decision with him. I believe that every person has the right to give their views about anything in the society. By involving the employees, their morale rises because they feel appreciated. I would strongly advocate for the democratic leadership style.

Challenges observed with various leadership styles

Challenges observed within the various leadership styles can be solved through appropriate strategies. As a future leader, I highly support democratic leadership because workers can give out their ideas yet it is the leader who makes the final decision. The various leadership strategies are faced with various challenges such as slow decision-making processes in autocratic and low production in Laissez-Faire in cases when supervision is required.

I would recommend that leaders analyze the type of workers they have before choosing the forms of leadership. If workers can work without supervision, the leader can choose Laissez-Faire, but if it is not the case, the leader should avoid Laissez-Faire. Additionally, I would recommend that workers understand autocratic leaders and not take it personal when they get rude. Most disagreements take place when workers take it personal when their autocratic leaders are rude or when they dictate. Finally, I would recommend alternatives for democratic leadership when decisions are needed for short periods.
